The following are a number of positions currently open.

Design Manager

Role
 
The Design Manager will lead the preconstruction team from bid acceptance (gateway zero) through the bid, preconstruction and mobilisation period of the design and build project until successful completion of the design elements, including management and coordination of external consultants and supply chain designers in line with the project programme.  Essentially managing people through the design process.

Key Skills and Duties

  • Manage the design process and promote integration of disciplines both internally and with external consultants and supply chain across multiple projects on the frameworks
  • Select, manage and appoint consultants to ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services
  • Overview, monitor and report on whole life programmes during the preconstruction phase.
  • Manage design deliverables for client engagement process and development of the cost plan / detailed pricing data

The Person

  • We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years experience in a similar role and is looking to join a company at the forefront of the modular revolution.  
  • Construction / Planning/ programming background
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Building Services Manager

Role
 
The Building Services Manager provides technical advice and support to the Operations Lead / Pre Construction team and project teams in managing all elements of engineering services from supplier selection, tender enquiry, design, procurement, co-ordination, installation, commissioning, and defects completion. 
 
The Building Services Manager will oversee a number of projects in conjunction with the Pre-Construction and Operations teams.

Key Skills & Duties

  • Undertake periodic M&E Audits if deemed appropriate based on complexity of M&E content.
  • Ensure that a commissioning programme is developed and issued, with assistance from a planner if necessary.
  • Check compliance of M&E tender returns and advise Bid Manager
  • Prepare M&E Bid Support Document content (if required)
  • Review Contract Documents to advise Planner re: M&E Procurement and Programs Requirements, and Identify Discrepancies & missing M&E Information
  • Investigate and advise Project Manager regarding: Utility connections - Gas, Water, Electric, Phone lines, Fire Strategy Cause/Effect document, Design compliance with Landlords system requirements, Design compliance with Building Regulations, Commissioning strategy, Process for signing off completed work/sections
  • Development of an Engineering Services Supply Chain in support of the Supply Chain Management team
  • Assist Business Unit and account leadership with the development of project team technical understanding of engineering services management, co-ordination and integration.
  • Ensure all M&E subcontractors provide programs, reports and schedules to an appropriate standard, and ensure that all strategic and key suppliers share best practice and innovation to develop sector leading standards in M&E management information.
